El proceso creativo y su producto, ¿qué es, y cómo lograrlo?

Así es, la creatividad tiene dos aspectos claves; todo un proceso creativo que involucra diferentes etapas, y su resultado, que se ve reflejado en un producto creativo con características específicas. 🤩
En esta oportunidad, en iwie.blog te vamos a contar cuáles son las etapas del proceso creativo, y cómo evaluar su resultado con un producto de alto valor, que aporte a un propósito.
Graham Wallas, desde 1926, en su libro ‘El arte del pensamiento’, fue uno de los primeros autores que, a partir de las experiencias de artistas y científicos, desarrolló una descripción sobre cómo tiene lugar la creatividad en las personas, es decir, sobre los procesos de pensamiento que llevan a la creatividad.
Wallas, explica que el proceso creativo incluye cuatro etapas:
- Preparación: investigar el problema en todas las direcciones.
- Incubación: pensar en el problema de una manera “no consciente”.
- Iluminación: cuando se tiene una idea.
- Verificación: prueba de validez y reducción de la idea a una forma exacta.
¿Suena familiar a varias metodologías, cierto? Precisamente, es porque dicho proceso es la base de las metodologías de creatividad e innovación que se usan actualmente.
El producto creativo, resultados a la vista
Al navegar por cada una de las etapas del proceso, se obtiene el producto creativo. Y, ¿cuáles son sus características?
Treffinger & Besemer son dos importantes autores que explican que todo producto creativo, o sea, el resultado de la creatividad tiene tres dimensiones básicas:
- La novedad: es el nivel de originalidad del producto, ya sea por su material o proceso.
- La apropiación de la solución: aquí se evalúa la utilidad y si el producto funciona, si resuelve el desafío para el que fue creado, si se adapta o satisface las necesidades del problema.
- La elaboración y la síntesis: comprende la estética que tiene el producto, si realmente combina elementos de forma coherente, si es atractivo y está bien elaborado.
Justo después de evaluar el producto creativo, a partir de las anteriores características, es posible establecer si la creatividad dio paso a la innovación.
En definitiva, la creatividad se presenta como un punto de partida y facilitador del proceso de la innovación, ya que es claro que debe aportar ideas y soluciones que sean novedosas, pero útiles. De nada sirve algo muy creativo, si no resuelve el problema o la necesidad.
